Although there is still scepticism about using ISO9000, there are a growing number of practitioners who realise that it can and does work if approached in a practical and common sense way, and with the primary focus on the business aims and objectives.

The recent revision of ISO9000 (now properly ISO9001:2000), has provided an opportunity for users to gain greater benefits from its use in that it can be interpreted more easily and applied more practically to just about any business or organisation.
